▓▒░ JIKE'S FIRST MISS UNIVERSE 2012'S LIST OF FAVES ░▒▓

Without further due, I'm gonna go straight to the point. This is my first list of faves for the upcoming Miss Universe season, even though there are still five months to go before we get to see all the girls together in their final looks. Here you go guys.- (:

I won't include a 16th place since I can't decide between a bunch of girls that I see with potential.

15. ISRAEL ║ ► LINA MACHOLA
I feel like she can fade but her face is one of the most beautiful so far. I would certainly count her in in terms of beauty. Her styling at the pageant was awful but I'm hopeful that they can work that out.

14. COLOMBIA ║ ► DANIELLA ALVAREZ
I've never loved her and I've been open about it but I won't fool myself. She can be up there certainly. She has what it takes. Her beauty says nothing to me though. Rather a mix between Jessica Barboza and Tania Charry (google her).

13. CANADA ║ ► SAHAR BINIAZ
She has edge. She has these really exotic looks. She is surely fierce. She looks, however, a tad too plastic and too overdone for my taste. I like more natural, agreeable looks. That overdone trait of her makes her look older and less appealing.

12. ECUADOR ║ ► CAROLINA AGUIRRE
I don't get the hype. Some of her candids are just gorgeous and take me back to Mariangela Bonanni back in 2009. Other's are just borderline plain. She's just a tad too generic for my taste. I see loads of potential but nothing really special. She can shut me up. I'd love her to, actually.

11. CROATIA ║ ► ELIZABETA BURG
She looks good but she's not a goddess. Some of her pictures are just angelical but in candids she doesnt say much to me if I'm honest. She resembles tho, and this is to her benefit, the kind of beauty that we have lately seen placing at Miss Universe: soft, angelical, and light. She's a bit too cold for my taste.

10. FRANCE ║ ► DELPHINE WESPISSER
I always have loved her looks. I love her red hair, her smile, her charm, her elegance, her style, her freshness... I feel she still looks a bit too raw. I would love a more settled, solid Delphine. I want her to sleep at the gym as well. Otherwise she can do awesomely.

09. RUSSIA ║ ► ELIZAVETA GONOLANOVA
She strongly resembles Vera Krasova to me. Maybe her extremely long her and her typical Russian features. I wouldn't overlook her. She has really appealing, soft, tender looks. I like her kind of beauty. I just feel she needs some energy drink or something. Red Bull for her.

08. AUSTRALIA ║ ► RENAE AYRIS
A really seen and boring choice from Australia. It seems like they like crowning sisters. I still think that if the formula has worked, why wouldn't it work once again? Some of her pictures are simply stunning. I'm just not that interested in her.

07. SOUTH AFRICA ║ ► MELINDA BAM
Her looks are a shoo in for the top 10. She has the profile of a potential placer or winner. She just looks aged at times to me. Something about her screams boredom to me. It's just that her looks have been way too seen probably. I still think she's strong enough to do amazingly well.

06. UNITED STATES (USA) ║ ► OLIVIA CULPO
I understand why some don't like her at all but I personally think she's underrated. Her face has got to be astonishing, her performance is strong enough and I think she has what it takes to balance out her lack of inches. Will she prove that the best things come in small packages?

05. KOSOVO ║ ► DIANA AVDIOU
I see Katherine Zeta Jones meets Marigona Dragusha meets a green-eyes goddess. Kosovo's 'top model' formula has worked so far, and it seems like it can work this year as well. Her looks are fierce. I feel she needs to wake up a bit in front of the camera though. She needs gasoline. Her looks and potential are good enough to keep her high in my list.

04. MEXICO ║ ► KARINA GONZÁLEZ
I'm taking a risk here. Her evolution process seems slow but I just fell in love with her radiance. She has a contagious happiness all the time. Her face is just beautiful. I honestly do not know the over-skepticism with this delegate. She has both gorgeous candid pictures and gorgeous professional pics. Her stage presence is supreme. She's extremely regal. I have always rooted for her, and she has become one of my top sentimental faves.

03. CZECH REPUBLIC ║ ► TEREZA CHLEBOVSKÁ
The best overall package from Europe without a doubt. Besides being physically beautiful, she's the most natural-looking delegate of the bunch. She doesn't have to wear huge loads of make up, she doesn't need this overdone hair or she doesn't need to wear this 'awesome' clothing to shine. Her look is most of the time simple yet effective. She's good enough on stage and she's really versatile and confident in front of the camera.

02. PUERTO RICO ║ ► BODINE KOEHLER
She's not my personal fave but it is undeniable the girl is ready. She looks good without smiling, but her smile lights her up incredibly. She goes from fierce to soft back to fierce really well. Her silhouette is rocking and she knows how to handle herself. I know Dominican fans have criticized her heavily, but I really don't care the issues they are arguing about with Puerto Ricans. She is representing PR so she should be seen as Puerto Rican in terms of the pageant. The girl is a shoo-in for the crown.

01. VENEZUELA ║ ► IRENE ESSER
I know my choice may sound weird and cliché and I know she's not the most popular girl here in the forum... but being objective, I still can't let go her stunning performance at the Miss Venezuela pageant. It was close to flawless specially at the Evening Gown round. She exudes regal and her stage presence is flawless. She's much fresher than her last two predecessors. Her smile is captivating. I feel like they're experimenting with different styles to find which one would fit her the most. I would go for something with waves but not overdone. A big no to that huge cliché MV hair.

Amigo! I loved your presentation and your comments about the girl. I just realized Elizaveta's similarity with Vera. :-O

Your Top 5 is ON POINT. Thanks for including my girl; I have witnessed how you support her and have liked her ever since NBM 2011. I have also witnessed how you found Irene's performance flawless. Again, nice and objective list. Good for you! >:D<

I needed a new account. I was a kid literally when I came to the forum and I just felt that Jikeman is not the Jikeman that's here today. I just wanted a new 'profile'. I'm leaving behind great threads. But I'm thrilled with this new account.

Hi Jike!

I love this assessment. Very classy and clean presentation, great selection of pictures! Very fair, objective and solid commentaries on each girl! I agree with almost everything (surprise surprise!) and my list is very similar to this one. However, I have Ecuador (Laura Elizondo 2.0) included as far as one of my Top 5 finalists whereas I don't really see the hype around Czech Republic's beauty. She is a performer, but doesn't fit the mold of a beauty queen as an overall package, for me. I do recognize that she might be able to sneak in the Top 5 with that overpowering presence on stage!

Jike, Wow sis anne steph loves all your choice of each contestants quality that they have. yes they are my favourite too. honest speaking your list of contestants that will most likely to make the cut in December. they will be MUO looking for.

My sentimental fave from Asia has got to be Kazakhstan but she's not even confirmed and I don't see her placing either so I don't even include her. Philippines and Japan are decent and somewhat memorable. :=p
