From time to time we are gathering controversies that will surely make you shook your “head”. Today, we will feature all the chosen finalist for our own Beauty Queens Gone Wild contest. If you think being a beauty queen is all wits, glamour, prestige, class etc, then you don’t have any idea what you are up against. So stick around, this is going to be a rough ride!
To set the mood: We will ask you. Why do you think beauty queens are tempted to do something illegal?
Is it the lack of freedom? A new boost for their “beauty” career? M-O-N-E-Y? Or perhaps a personality disorder called “eroticmania”?
Well, I guess we will leave those questions for beauty queens to answer.

Mary Leona Gage, Miss USA 1957
Oldies but goodies, this beauty queen was stripped of her crown the next day after winning the Miss USA on 1957.
Reason: She is already married to someone else at age 14, has 2 children. Fooled everyone, telling her age was 21 instead of 18.
Defended: In a teary conference, Gage said she joined the pageant to bag in the money to support her family.
After some time, Gage missed the hedonistic way of living. She became a Vegas showgirl and got married five more times.
Way to go granny!
Vanessa Williams, Miss America 1984
You probably seen her in the popular remake tv-series “The Ugly Betty” or in the sci-fi movie “Eraser”.
Little did you know that this beauty queen has a deep dark secret to share.
Williams was the first black American to win the Miss America. Ten months later she received anonymous phone call stating that nude photos of her taken by a photographer prior to her pageant days had surfaced. She believed the photographs were private and had been destroyed; she claims she never signed a release permitting the photos to be used.
Until September 1984, Bob Guccione (publisher of Penthouse Magazine) announce to the public that he will released the “racy” photos. This act alone made Penthouse popular and provide Guccione’s wallet a whopping 14 million dollars!
Kelli McCarty, Miss USA 1991
McCartie’s story is every “pornographer’s dream”. A beauty queen that shift in the adult industry. This former beauty queen crowned as Miss USA on 1991 had a great career then started a new path on acting. Later, McCarty made a shocking shift of course and made a new acting on adult industry. Along with her new brown hair, her hardcore video (Faithless which was released on February 2009) are all around the web being flocked by “beauty queen” demented maniacs.

Alicia Machado, Miss Universe 1996
After bagging the title as the most beautiful “creature” in the Universe in 1996, Machado’s career didn’t go that “sleek”. During her reign, she suffered weight problems and was threatened to be dethroned if she didn’t do otherwise. During the controversy, Donald Trump (New head of Miss Universe) remain neutral and gave Machado a chance to keep her body in shape.
Machada thinking way over her head, perform numerous illicit acts a beauty queen. On 1996 she was the featured model for Playboy Mexico back to back as a cover girl on the following year (October 1997) for Playboy America. In 2005, she participated in a Spanish reality show called La Granja (The Farm) a “far-version” of Big Brother House where she was caught in the act having a steamy intercourse with one of her roommates in front of a “nightvision” camera.
I’m sure she will be shedding fat on that unorthodox exercise!
Kumari Fulbright, Ms Arizona 2006
A law student who competed for the Miss Arizona title in 2005 and 2006, was arrested in late 2007 on charges that she kidnapped and tortured an ex-boyfriend. Today Fulbright is serving the penitentiary hall as a full-pledge criminal.

After Winning the Miss USA and competing for the Miss Universe, this small-town girl from Dallas, Texas finally unleashes “a hell of a cowboy” personality in real life.
She has been in the news all over the metro for using cocaine, underage drinking, public kissing sessions with Miss TEEN USA 2006 (Katie Blair) It’s also said from a scoop that random men seems to sprout from her cozy New York apartment.
Conner has been in a drug-rehabilitation program for a couple of months. In a teary confession, Conner publicly apologizes for her illicit deeds and pleads for a second chance.
After all the dilemmas, on 2008. Conner is planning to write a book about the life of a beauty queen who is addicted with drugs and alcohol.
Well at least, this beauty has finally found her sanity at the eleventh hour!
Dayana Mendoza, Miss Universe 2008
After 2 months of reigning, Mendoza’s racy modeling photos for a jewelry catalogue leaked in the internet like a “waterfall”. Although her title wasn’t really endangered, the story made the rounds on tabloids and news shows. She defended her actions, claiming her nudes had been “artistic”.
Mendoza has also been seen topless for the September issue of Maxim.

Sofía Rudieva, Miss Russia 2009
A few days after she was crowned Miss Russia 2009, dozen pictures of her FULLY naked body started to burn the bloody-eyes of Internet-seeking maniacs gorier than the Battle of Stalingrad! The news is still not clear if these photos were taken with or without her consent. Because from the comments coming from folks who see the pics, it seems Rudieva is really aware on doing that coma-inducing X-rated post.
Rudieva, still manage to do the “cat-walk” on the Miss Universe 2009 opening. But of course without any “glow”.

Oh, the infamous Carrie Prejean!
Her controversies includes statement opposing gay marriage on Miss USA 2009 coronation night. The said event also made the Judge (GAY blogger Perez Hilton even more popular), breaking her obligations as a Miss Californian and doing some topless pictures without informing the Donald Trump’s pageant committee. It was on June 10th, 2009, when the producers, headed by Donald Trump, made the decision of taking away her crown finally!
Alma Concepcion, Miss Friendship 1994 (Miss International top-10 finalist)
Philippines is known to be the land of photogenic beauty queens, little did they know Alma Concepcion has another idea what “photogenic” truly means.
Concepcion was been detained by Guam authorities in 1998 after airport inspectors allegedly found amphetamines in her purse. Concepcion was charged with importing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance on an aircraft and possessing a controlled substance in Guam, all are felonies.
I am sure Concepcion is leaving a good “alma-mater” with those shameful accomplishments!
