redgam wrote:Good grief! Who watch baseball nowadays??? A one way ticket out of Puerto Rico!
Everybody watches baseball. Now more than ever before with countries like Japan, Korea, Chinese Taipei, Italy, Netherlands and Israel participating. Japan had full house in all their games in Tokio as well as Seul. The Dodgers Stadium reported over a Million international visitors during their games.
This team is coming with the hunger to win bigger than ever, and we need a happy moment here. The country has been infected with this baseball fever to the point where we have gotten some peace lately and the men have died their hairs blonde. This is what tournament like this achieve, as a very tomboy woman raised around sports I have enjoy this one so much to the point I have no voice today and I'm falling asleep everywhere. I am ready for tomorrow and regardless if we win or not, #teamrubio has brought the country some happiness in this dark times.
NOW for some eye candy + amazing talent I want to put the spotlight on these two great reasons to watch the games if you aint into sports
ANGEL "EL CABALLO LOCO" PAGAN- OUTFIELDER (35YRS)
ENRIQUE "KIKE" HERNANDEZ- UTILITY PLAYER (25YRS) ALSO THE BOYFRIEND OF MARIANA VICENTE (MUPR 2010-MY FAVORITE)
AND a very special mention to possibly the MVP of this whole thing 8x winner of the Gold Globe YADIER "YADI" MOLINA who at 34 he is quite probably THE BEST catcher since Ivan Rodriguez! PU~ETA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pagan:
Kike with Mariana Vicente (Miss Puerto Rico 2010)
The hottest guy in PR right now is Javy Baez. Girls are fighting each other over him.
Got Eliminated in the Qualifying round: Philippines, Israel, Brazil and Ecuador with Israel getting the ticket. Israel has a lot of Mayor League Baseball Players and almost made it to the Semi-Finals.
Puerto Rico is all over the news today around the world because of the blond craze!
BBC News:
More and more Puerto Rican men are going go blond in support of their baseball team, causing shortages of hair dye in shops on the island.
What started as a joke by squad members is spreading across the US territory ahead of Thursday's World Baseball Classic final in Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, Puerto Rico beat the Netherlands 4-3, and will face the United States in the final.
The World Baseball Classic is staged every four years.
It allows national teams to include professional players from the major leagues around the world, including Major League Baseball in the United States.
"Ever since they began winning, this has not stopped,'' Myrna Rios, a beauty shop manager in Puerto Rico's capital San Juan, was quoted as saying by the Associated Press.
"We have run out of the product in most of our stores."
All shades of blond are apparently extremely popular among Puerto Rico's baseball male fans.
Some are using wigs, while those who are bold have been dyeing their beards as well.
"We have been able to unite our country with our blond hair,'' said Puerto Rico's team member Carlos Correa.
"That's what we want as players to unite our country, our people, and give them the best."
In 2013, Puerto Rico finished as runners-up in the World Baseball Classic, losing to the Dominican Republic in the final.
During the football World Cup in 1998, the entire Romanian team dyed their hair blond after beating England in a decisive group stage match.

And much more. Puerto Rico is around the world today!

Some Puerto Ricans are cut and some are uncut. I don't know the percentages so either you have to ask individually when you meet one or just get surprised.

Or just do what I do and ask I have had the pleasure of coming across both
Nobody is fighting today, my team did what no one could and that was to bring happiness and peace to my island for three weeks. Are we gonna lose the tournament? Yes. But they won our heart and my people could take a breather for three weeks. So even if I am deeply heartbroken, I will welcome them tomorrow at the airport because what they did is bigger than any other part of this tournament. They made my island smile.
