fitness experts, nutrition enthusiasts , modelling scouts will comprise the panel of judges
That is better but are they Filipinos?
Well this is Miss Earth so expect the judges to comprise more Filipinos just as Miss Universe as all-americans and Miss Internional all-Japanese. It is is what it is so deal with it.
It is a little different because neither japan nor the US are as pageant-crazy as the Philippines. This means that the judges are more impartial. Ask a regular Japanese person about any pageants, and they won’t be able to give you much information because they don’t care about it too much. Hence, it doesn’t matter if their delegate (Miss Japan) wins Miss International or not. In fact, Japan didn’t win any Miss International crown until recently! The Philippine (and many Latin American and now Southeast Asian countries), on the other hand, equate winning a beauty pageant to national pride. That in itself makes it hard for them to be impartial to their own delegates because of previous socialization - they were brought up knowing that the country has this many Miss Universe crowns, this many Miss World crowns, etc. It is embedded in their psyche, which isn’t their fault at all. But unfortunately this is also the cause of so many fan wars here in Misso. I love beauty pageants and they entertain me, and that’s where it ends.
Anyway back to Miss Earth. I actually like the veil. It gave an air of mystery. Of course it can be improved, but not bad for its first year. I’m still loving the Hanna photos and video. And also those solo videos of Miss USA and PR are really well done!
In terms of areas for improvement, I think it’s been mentioned many times already so I won’t beat a dying horse anymore LOL
Very insightful!
