The guy asking the question is so annoying. Sometimes he speaks as if he knows everything about Miss World or that he's the spokesman of its causes etc.... anyway, I really can't find myself loving or even interested in Miss World. Haven't watched it at least 3 years now.

But they're really courting the Philippines.

I guess they just need to BE A BEAUTY PAGEANT again or just label themselves as a charity organization ...

AND most importantly, a transparent judging system.

Miss World could have been a pageant Filipinos will love so dearly. I don't know what happened why it got lost among the consciousness of the masses. remember before...when I watched Bb., I always look forward to the Bb. World because I know it is the only pageant that Philippines had not won (pre-Megan) Miss World's popularity rose to fame because of Ruffa, and then it got resurrected during Megan's time. After that it went pffft...

I still love Miss World's advocacy--very remarkable. But other than that, nothing else that the pageant fans gets excited about.

It went pffft beyond redemption when Julia decided not to play a fair game. Truth be told, we could have had four Miss World winners already by now: Vangie in 1973, Ruffa in 1993, Megan in 2013 and Catriona in 2016. Julia cannot blame the Filipinos for hating her pageant so much these days because her organisation never played fair and square from the get-go despite our best efforts to send the best girl to her pageant. In 2015, I scratched my head when Hilarie did not get a runner-up finish. In 2016, they robbed Catriona big time and crowned the matronly-looking Stephanie who was only 19 at that time!!!! In 2017, how could the Miss World winner from India choose Venezuela over Philippines in the final hurdle of the interview when she didn't even understand a single word of Spanish from the Venezuelan delegate? It would've been totally acceptable if she had an interpreter present or a translating device used, however, those weren't the case. MWO keeps courting the Philippines to host the Miss World pageant in the future and yet, they are stretching us too thin. Our patience and enthusiasm are gone. That ship has sailed a long time ago. The majority have already spoken. She can keep tagging along Stephanie to the Philippines until the second coming of Christ but nothing will ever change the fact that MWO broke that sacred trust of the Filipinos. As far as the Filipino pageant fans are concerned, Stephanie will always be the walking symbol of Julia's favouritism.

It lost it's way when it became more and more of a RIGGED PAGEANT crowning non-deserving winner like STEPHANIE DEL VALLE. Once fans loose trust in you then YOU ARE DONE.

Naku MrGary may masasaktan sa huling sentence mo. I'm sure susulpot yan bigla.

So for the Philippines to really host Miss World, what Julia could at least do is to reformat her coronation night--gosh make it exciting lola Juls. If it remains to be a snoozefest, and just really a "coronation" night without any other exciting competition happening, no businessmen in their right mind will ever sponsor her pageant knowing no one would ever watch it no matter how many past title holders are going to sit as judges. If she will not do this drastic change...then her wish for the Philippines to host the pageant will forever remain just a dream.

First thing, who is that guy asking questions? He needs to be exiled to the darkest heart of Congo so we will never hear from him again.

Now, as for Julia, if she has to explain and justify how Miss World picks its winner, that means her pageant has no credibility.

Everything she said in this interview has nothing to do with the fact that she allows national directors to be part of the judging panel, and this is only one of the many jarring practices that Miss World continues to engage in.

To parade Stephanie in the Philippines to win support for Miss World suggests that she is really tone deaf. It's like going to Kenya wearing an ivory crown, or attending a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) convention wearing a mink coat.

Julia needs to leave us alone. We do not care about her pageant/cooking show.

2016 was the last straw for filipino pageant fans after that Miss World was a thing of the past even emergency room will be having a hard time resuscitating Miss World brand in the Philippines. Look Miss World Philippines and Mister World are happening side by side but not making any buzz in the local pageant scene. Sorry Julia but thank you NEXT!

The moment when Julia Horely dethroned Marjorie Wallace in 1973 and did not offer the crown and the title to the 1st runner up Evangeline Pascual of the Philippines was the day that the Philippines NEVER liked this pageant. She was only offered the duties and responsibilities not even the prizes. WTF! I would decline as well. Since then Miss World was like a minor pageant for the Philippines not even Megan Young's victory have saved it. Yes! We were happy that Megan won because we just want at least one winner to add in our collection but we would rather have another Miss Universe crown than winning in this dubious pageant. 2016 was the final straw and Catriona winning Miss Universe just vindicated how dubious MW is. =c3 =c3 =c3 =c3 =c3 =c3 =c3 =c3

AND NO JULIA, SHE'S NOT MISS WORLD.... SHE'S MISS UNIVERSE!!!!!! A BETTER TITLE!

to be honest i find the interview very awkward.... the interviewer should respect everyone... it was like a double slap to th 2016 MW... even though Cat was very deserving in Miss World the interviewer should be more considerate and sensitive in his questions.

The Filipinos just lost interest in the said pageant because even if we send the most deserving delegate the pageant is rigged. plain and simple. Judging or the scoring is not transparent, Julia obviously do not favour the Philippines even if it's delegate is deserving. So Filipinos just got tired of waiting or watching year after year after year because the chance of winning in that pageant is really really really slim so why watch it? why wait for it year after year after year? Unlike in the Ms. U we always anticipate watching it year after year because our chance of winning is really high because the judging is very much fair and transparent.

I know her "intentions" to help those unprivileged ppl around the world is a good thing. But honestly there is no amount of promotions whatsoever in PH that your pageant will even come close to Miss Universe.

Philippines will always be and forever be a MISS UNIVERSE country... there is no amount of any charity can turn it other way....

Even you crowned Miss Philippines every year wont change the fact that Filipinos adore Miss Universe....

We might have had 6 Miss International titles, but fact remains Miss Universe is more popular.

We might have had 4 Miss Earth titles, but fact remains Miss Universe is far more superior three titles combines.

We might have 2 Miss Universe titles during the early 2000s but fact remains they are more known and popular that the previous titles.

Even if Miss International 1964 was our first ever international crown thru Gemma Cruz, fact remains that Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz were known to be our first ever International crown.

My point? we are more and will be Miss UNIVERSE forever.

But did Julia really say "She is still Miss World to me" referring to Catriona? If so, what could have Stephanie felt when even Julia considered Catriona as Miss World? Awkward lang talaga...kasalanan talaga ng interviewer na yan.

IMO I feel like if Julia still says that Catriona is Miss World to her, then why didn't she crown her as Miss World 2016 in the first place?! This emotional "stint" to gain Filipino sentiments failed miserably i believe, its not effecting the minds of fellow Filipino countrymen as well as non Filipinos (including me) time and again its proven how biased Miss World really is. Although having said the above i do think Catriona could broaden her charity endeavors and put into action on a larger scale had she won Miss World, It seems like being Miss Universe her reign is rather limited (Thanks to IMG!) to handful of activities, much less focus on her charitable causes which is a shame though coz the work Catriona has been doing deserves higher recognition (Manushi's menstrual hygiene campaign got a huge boost and spotlight with her Miss World title)

I'm sorry but this interview was just awkward as hell and to be honest made Julia look like the MUCH bigger person.

Catriona is already Miss Universe yet this interviewer is making it seem like Filipino people are still not over with her losing at Miss World. So cringeworthy.

Only Puerto Rico and Indonesia recognize her as Miss World, even her own country left her with an empty street so suit yourself girl, that's what you get from winning a crown that you don't deserve while your national director with a botched nose and boob job sat as a judge, with Liliana the Indonesian Mafia.
