All roads lead back to the Smart Araneta Coliseum as Philippines' undoubtedly most prestigious national pageant will mount it's 58th edition. Out-going title holders Bb. Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold, Miss Globe 2021 Maureen Montagne, Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Obenita, and Bb. Pilipinas Grand 2021 Samantha Panlilio will be relinquishing their respective national crowns to the new set of queens that will continue the legacy of beauty, excellence and raising the Philippine flag to various beauty stints globally.

An excerpt on a ABS-CBN report:

Gines Enriquez of Bb. Pilipinas Charities told ABS-CBN News that they will strictly comply with health protocols. “Official contestants and everyone involved in the pageant must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to the kickoff of events for the competition,” he said. “We will adhere to the policies set by the LGU/IATF.”

Screening of applicants will start this March.

Opening salvo of the pageant is a grand Flores de Mayo parade at Araneta City this May followed by other pre-pageant activities and charity work.

Coronation is set in July 2022 with four crowns at stake — Bb. Pilipinas International, Globe, Intercontinental, and Grand International. The organization has yet to confirm the addition of another Bb. Pilipinas crown.

MANILA — Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) announced Friday the official list of candidates vying for titles in the 2022 edition of its national pageant. Forty candidates of 58th edition of the Binibining Pilipinas pageant were named after the final screening held in Araneta City. Reigning queens including Hannah Arnold (International), Samantha Panlilio (Grand International), Cindy Obenita (Intercontinental), and Maureen Montagne (Globe) were at the venue to welcome their new pageant “sisters."

She will still compete! She just turned 26. The ceiling age for MI is 27 I think. BPCI should crown a younger Bb. Pilipinas International though, because her successor will compete next year.

MI, naturally. Last year's coronation night reflected the stately elegance of Tokyo's pageant. The "preliminary" event, though, was a bizarre nod to That Circus Show.

For those who are still confused what are the Main titles of BPCI:

Bb. Pilipinas International 2022 - will compete for MISS INTERNATIONAL 2023
(Hannah has yet to compete for MI because as you all know there is no MI 2021 and she is not overaged and still eligible to compete so she will compete for this years edition MI 2022)

Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2022
Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2022

As for that controversial title for that "pageant", it is uncertain if they will continue to send a girl there or not because of recent developments to that particular incident and their contract to that pageant is not disclosed to the public. So who knows what will happen to that title, but I can almost say that there WILL BE CHANGES to the TITLES maybe ADDITIONAL OR REMOVAL OF CERTAIN TITLES. That is all I can say for now hehe.
