12 finalists have been chosen and revealed for this year’s edition. Their BWAP project theme is environmental protection and ecology. More details to follow.

The girls will start their boot camp tomorrow at Algiers’ Golden Tulip Royaume Hotel, surrounded by catwalk, fitness, nutrition and life coach professionals. All girls and their entourage were tested negative for Covid-19 and due to the pandemic, the finale will be held without an audience. Some of the girls:

As part of their BWAP project, the girls have been meeting with representatives from recycling and waste management companies based in Algeria: Antigaspi, Nrecycli, Viridis and Green Sewing.

* Chiraz Bouhafs: Resembles Miss Algeria 2013 Rym Amari. Great professional background. Would be a great representative for Algeria in MW / Miss Universe.

* Ania Temim: Resembles 1st RU of Miss Algeria 2014 Damia Hamel. Decent professional background and more photogenic than I expected.

* Manel Ougaïda: Perhaps time for Algeria to crown a blond girl for a change. She is a younger contestant with less professional experience but excludes a lot of confidence and sophistication.

Oui c’est la préférée de la plupart cette année et on croise les doigts pour qu’elle gagne. Elle a l’air belle même sans makeup. Elle s’appelle Manel Ougaida.

Algerian actress and singer Numidia Lezoul will be one of the judges at coronation night.

Life coach Amina Belouchrani helps the contestants with their personal development, stress management and interpersonal communication.

During their rehearsals the contestants had a surprise visit by Algerian actress Ines Abdelli. The latter said all the girls are gorgeous and wished them good luck for the finale.

The girls also had the chance to meet and introduce themselves to musician Safy Boutella and actress Numidia Lezoul, who will be both judges at coronation night. First impressions are everything!




Contestant # 8, Hana Bouchikhi, shares her singing talent with actress Numidia Lezoul in a spontaneous moment. Numidia revealed that she is trying to get to know the girls as much as possible before the finale, to help with her judging process.

The girls were seen leaving their hotel today to a mystery destination. Final rehearsal? Dress fittings? Another town?

Unfortunately the girls have been deprived from using their phones for the duration of their boot camp. They are only allowed 10 mins of talk time per day with their parents. So their photos on social media are currently scarce.
